Foundations of Astrology

eight weeks of in-depth astrology studies with Hedy Noemi MA. Open to all levels.

This course has been long awaited and will offer students and lovers of astrology the chance to deepen their knowledge, while gaining practical tools for continued self-study after course completion.

Weeks 1 - 3 offer insights to western astrology, including history, theory and some application of western astrology.

Weeks 4 - 8 will focus on the wisdom and application of Vedic Astrology to your everyday life.

Students will gain a vast knowledge base in a short amount of time. Hedy Noemi wrote her MA dissertation on the 27 nakshatras, guided by a clinical research project conducted through interviews with vedic astrologers worldwide. This course will offer some of the research findings to students who wish to know, what makes a life move the way it does.

Course curriculum

This course will take place in one hour zoom classes in eight consecutive weeks. Recordings and course content will be accessible for 30 days after course completion. We meet every Sunday on Zoom from Sunday 28th September until 16th November.

WEEK ONE 28/09

  • Introduction to Astrology.

    Basic History of ancient Astronomers and Astrologers. 

    Sidereal versus Tropical zodiac system explained. 

WEEK TWO 05/10

  • The 12 houses and the Ascendant. 

WEEK THREE 12/10

  • The Planets, Rahu and Ketu. Their qualities, gifts and lessons.

    Where Western astrology and Vedic astrology are at odds with each other. 

WEEK FOUR 19/10

  • Planets in action. The dynamic expression of planets in the houses. 

    See how your birth chart comes alive through time. 

    Life changing Astrology transits. 

WEEK FIVE 26/10

  • Saturn: Father, teacher, eternal judge. 

    Learn about the various Saturn transits and aspects and their impact on life. 

WEEK SIX 2/11

  • Introduction to the Nakshatras. 

    Brief touching on the history of the nakshatras. 

WEEK SEVEN 9/11

  • A deeper dive into Vedic Astrology. 

    Introduction to the concepts of D1 chart and Navamsa chart in vedic astrology. 

    Introduction to the concept of planetary remedies and planetary healing through ayurveda. 

WEEK EIGHT 16/11

  • Discussion and course integration. Optional student presentations.
