What the ‘Divine Feminine’ course entails
WEEK ONE
wednesday october 22nd
As we begin the course together you will be introduced to the core concepts and framework that make studying mythology relevant to psychology and to your own personal life experience.
A brief outline and overview of the course structure throughout the weeks to give students a macro view of what’s coming.
Introduction to the key feminine archetypes through the Goddesses that take us past the limitations of Jung’s work.
Introduction to the value of mythology and archetypes in finding sanctity in your daily life as a woman.
WEEK TWO
wednesday october 29th
Study of female archetypes using the framework of mythologists and psychologists who use mythology in their practice as a starting point.
Introduction of Astrology in the birth chart in relation to psychological tendencies in life as a woman. Venus and Mars in the birth chart will be looked at specifically, and how this relates to life patterns and behavioural tendencies.
Innate Impulse, personal desire and creativity - expressing womanhood without society’s conditioning.
Students will be asked to reflect upon their own experience and current state of mind in relation to the week’s discussion.
WEEK THREE
wednesday november 5th
Genderless discussion of Goddesses in myth and historic tales with a focus on the traits they represent. Deepening discussion of the character arc/trials and tribulations of specific feminine archetypes in life with specific examples from relevant public figures.
Non - Western Goddesses and feminine archetypes are the focus of our final week together, where we consider some important figures from outside the western framework.
Students will be asked to consider how these feminine symbols enrich and inspire our path today.
Concluding remarks and closing of the course container.
N.B For those who cannot attend all sessions live, each class will be audio recorded and recordings available to listen for 30 days. Audio only to preserve privacy of students.
