New Moon in Magha (Leo)
23.08.2025This New Moon arrives in the regal and celebratory nakshatra of Magha. It’s the final New Moon before we begin eclipse season next month in September. In the Northern Hemisphere, we reach the tail end of Summer, while in the Southern hemisphere the first yearnings for Spring begin to express themselves.
Magha is a bold nakshatra. It is a constellation that relates to power structures, rulers and leadership. Dynasties, and royal families often have Magha nakshatra in their family charts. The karmic inheritance of positions of power are related to this constellation, and the strength needed to uphold those positions. When in detriment, this can give an appetite for hunger that is corrupt, but when in exaltation, this gives the beloved leader, the Beyonce of the stage and the Queens of England who reign with grace.
Mercury is still in Cancer at this stage until early September, moving through the serpent-like constellation of Ashleesha. This gives the ability for profound insights, transformative conversations and enriching coffee dates that nourish and support our hearts. Venus also enters Cancer on August 20th, so the skies are dappled with a combination of water and fire, Cancer and Leo.
